Clip Transform Pack is a set of five Ableton cheat-code devices. Designed to improve and speed up your workflow, the devices can change your tracks on the fly or generate new ideas with a single click. The pack may contain versions of devices with extended functionality and custom versions upon user requests.

Interface: The devices are designed to keep the number of controls to a minimum. Each device has an action button and a couple of settings unique to each device.

Mapping: All device parameters are assignable and can be mapped by MIDI or Key, allowing you to interact with devices using any input device.

Clip Shifter

Clip Shifter is a rearrangement device. The device randomly shifts events of audio clips on a track, resulting in unique loops each time. The device only works with loops. Before using the device, make sure that the samples on the device track are set to loop mode.

Controls:

Range: Range is the loop length of an audio clip. The randomizer uses the length of the loop as the range within which it shifts the events of the audio clips. Before using the device, set the loop length value in bars taken from the clip view. For example: loop length is 4. 0. 0, where the first digit is the length in bars (bars-beats-sixteenths).

Modes: Randm Modeis combinations of quantization and randomization types described in detail below.

• INT (Integer) is a random shift mode snapped to a 1/4 grid.
• FLO (Floating Off-grid) is a random shift mode without snapping to a grid.
• QFL (Quantized Floating) is a random shift mode snapped to a 1/16 grid.
• URN (Unique Random Number) is a random shift mode snapped to a 1/4 grid. In this mode, each iteration will not be equal to the previous one in the clip. In simple words, lightning will not strike twice in the same place.
• QFU (Unique Floating Quantized) is a random shift mode snapped to a 1/16 grid. In this mode, each iteration will not be equal to the previous one in the clip.

Clip Stager

Clip Stager is a level sequencing device. The device randomly changes the level of each audio clip on the track, creating a unique groove each time.

Controls:

Range: Min & Max parameters set the minimum and maximum threshold values ​​that determine the level range in which the randomizer operates.

Clip Drifter

Clip Drifter is a time stretching device. The device randomly stretches the events of audio clips on a track, making them longer and shorter. Before using the device, make sure the samples on the track have warping enabled.

Controls:

Range: Low & High parameters set the minimum and maximum threshold values in semitones ​​that determine the pitch range in which the randomizer operates.

Clip Tuner & Clip Tuner Jr.

Clip Tuner & Clip Tuner Jr. are pitch sequencing devices. The devices randomly change the pitch of each audio clip on the track in semitones and cents for the junior version.

Controls:

Range: Min & Max parameters set the minimum and maximum threshold values ​​in semitones and cents for the junior version, the difference between the minimum and maximum values ​​forms the range in which the randomizer operates.

Note: All devices work starting with Ableton Live 11 and later. The devices are tested in Live 11 (Mac OS & Windows OS). In Live 12 Beta, the devices work stably, but the animation on the button does not display, this will be fixed as soon as the ableton development team adds emoji support, or the devices will be redesigned after Live 12 is released.
